Dimension Breakdown

Why the Lotus?

I chose the lotus flower because it connects deeply to my Indian heritage. In Indian culture, the lotus symbolises purity, growth, and the ability to rise above difficult circumstances.

Each part of the lotus represents a different dimension of hauora, and they all work together. The roots need the mud, the stem needs the roots, the leaves need the stem, and the petals need everything below them.

"All five parts matter. If one drops, everything feels off."

Before this project, I treated my health more like a checklist. This helped me realise it's much more connected than that.

Going forward, I want to notice which part of my lotus is struggling instead of just pushing through.

Leader in Wellbeing

Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo

Professional Footballer · Global Wellbeing Role Model

Cristiano Ronaldo is widely regarded as one of the greatest athletes of all time, but what stands out beyond his sporting achievements is his relentless dedication to every dimension of his wellbeing.

Physically, he maintains an elite training regimen and diet, reportedly sleeping in five 90-minute naps rather than one long sleep to optimise recovery. Mentally, he's known for his intense focus, goal-setting mindset, and psychological resilience — bouncing back from serious injury multiple times.

Socially, Ronaldo is deeply tied to family and community. He frequently speaks about his late father and how that loss shaped his drive. Spiritually, his cultural identity as a Portuguese-raised Catholic informs his values and sense of purpose. Environmentally, he's been vocal about his surroundings, ensuring he trains and lives in environments that support his performance.
